Ellington student-artists are at the core of the Academy’s mission. Be the change you wish to see at Grand Rapids Ellington Academy!
We desire that clubs at Ellington Academy are student led, giving students a chance to exercise leadership skills in the academic enrichment activities that enhance their passion. Students can request to form a new club, and only need a faculty sponsor who agrees to oversee the club. We strongly encourage students to create new clubs to explore their interests by submitting a proposal to the Principal. Club possibilities include: Yearbook, Dance, Step Team, Student Government and anything else students dream up!
Ellington Student Government
Looking to exercise your leadership skills? Joining the Student Government for your student-body class is a way for students to get active and have a voice in your experience at Ellington Academy. Student Government initiatives build your school culture by organizing activities, dances, spirit weeks, community meetings and student justice panels. Ellington Student Artists also host campus visitors and serve as student-mentors for Elementary and Middle school student-artists. Elections are held in October, and positions last the entire school year.
